Education at Silo Academy

We are excited to be using the Experience Curriculum at our center. It incorporates 35 research-based skills into playful games and projects. The lessons will focus on:

• Social-Emotional Development
• Language & Literacy
• Social Studies
• Mathematics & Reasoning
• Science
• Creative Arts
• Physical Development

We will have a monthly “experience” that teachers will follow. Within that monthly “experience”, teachers will have the weekly and daily lesson plans/goals/activities to help present the materials in an age-appropriate manner for every classroom. Children will learn about the topics in the “experience” through reading related stories, arts and crafts projects, songs, group time activities, and independent time activities. This curriculum also allows for teachers to adjust lessons based on his/her students. It is a structured lesson plan that teachers can easily add daily activities to or choose to focus on a particular topic for longer.

At Silo Academy, we are not just interested in the daily well-being of your child, we also want to expose them to new learning experiences that will shape their future and spark their curiosity. We will offer a supplementary enrichment program in partnership with Creative Education Services to teach STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematic) classes for ages 2 to 5. Each classroom will have a scheduled session with a trained STEM teacher several times a month. This program will be done in addition to the daily curriculum that our own teachers will provide.
